Aleksei has been a famous American model, actress and dramatic performer in New York. She was born St. Louis and moved swiftly in New York City when she was only two days old. She graduated in 1991 from Barnard College with a degree in art historical studies. It was the very same year that she was employed as a waitress in An American Place. Guarnaschelli began her culinary instruction by watching her edit cookbooks and test recipes. She interned with Larry Forgione and then at various restaurants in New York France and Los Angeles which included Guy Savoy's La Butte Chaillot. She became the chief chef of Butter. Guarnaschelli was a contestant in 2007's Farmers Market Battle on Food Network's Iron Chef America, where she took on Cat Cora. Seit then she is a judge on the show. Guarnaschelli also participated in The Next Iron Chef in Season 4 of the show in 2011. Also, she participated in the Food Network Challenge Ultimate Thanksgiving Feast episode, but lost the competition.
